Safer Internet Day was observed on 10 February 2026(Second Tuesday of February)at PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya Happy Valley Shillong for senior students with the aim of promoting safe, responsible, and ethical use of the internet.
During the session, students were guided on protecting personal information, creating strong passwords, and recognising online threats such as phishing, cyberbullying, and fake news. Practical tips were shared on safe use of social media, privacy settings, and responsible digital behaviour. Students were also advised to report suspicious online activities and seek help from teachers or parents whenever needed.
The session helped raise awareness among students about digital safety and encouraged them to become responsible digital citizens in their academic and personal online activities.
